So, Thursday night I had the opportunity to be a dresser for the SS14 Loris Diran show, and it was amazing and so much fun. It started off with me arriving extremely early which I am grateful I did now, because I ended up learning so much more than those who came later. I helped with the chair set-up, and made sure all the chairs were exactly lined up with each other. Then, I helped with the placing of the pamphlets on the chairs. Even though most of what I did at the beginning was just small tasks, watching the designer and his helpers was really eye-opening and such an amazing learning experience.

Next, the show was getting ready to start, so I headed backstage and was assigned my model by the one and only Nolé Marin. I can’t believe he was even there, and even though he will probably never remember me it was such an honor to work with him. So, I was assigned Yulia Saparniyazova who has walked in some amazing shows such as Louis Vuitton’s SS13. Yulia was the first to walk, and also had the most amount of looks, three. Dressing is exactly how you would imagine it, chaotic, nerve wrecking, but it also gives you so much excitement knowing that you dressed that model. Being backstage you obviously don’t see the show, so when the pictures came out it was such an amazing feeling knowing that everything turned out as well as it did. So, it is safe to say that this is something I would definitely do again a hundred times more.
